Group counseling
- Provides a supportive, non-judgmental atmosphere
- Builds coping and social skills
- Establishes supportive friendships, inside and outside of the group
- 12-step programs focus on peer support, spirituality, and regular meeting attendance. Some Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) groups are specifically for older adults.
