What to Expect When You Take Medicine for Anxiety

Your doctor may prescribe medication to ease your anxiety. Sometimes these drugs take several weeks or more to work. You may have to try one or more medicines or different amounts of the drug before you get the right one or combination that works best for you.

Ask your doctor, "When can I expect to feel better?"

Also, tell your doctor if you are having problems with your medicine. Together you can get anxiety under control.
