Ann: A few months ago, my doctor said that being more active would make me feel better all around. At the time, I thought to myself—exercise is so boring!
Martha: I told Ann that exercise is only boring if you do it alone. So we started walking together every other morning. We were both surprised how much exercise improved our outlook on life.
Ann: Martha was right. I can't believe how much better I feel! Her company is such a bonus. We're walking a little farther every day. Boring old exercise has become a real adventure!
Martha: When Ann can't make it, I take my dog for a long walk. I figure it's good for my dog and me.
Ann: I don't have a dog, so when Martha can't make it, I push my grandson in the stroller. He's only 6 months old, but he's good company!
Quick Tip: Who would you like to exercise with? Your neighbor? Your poodle? That nice widow down the street? Take the first step and set up a walking "date". You never know where that walk might lead!
