Al's Story - What I've Learned About Retirement
"I worked in insurance for 50 years. For half a century, I dreamed of free days! Then I retired, and reality set in. I didn't know what to do with myself! And I don't have the good health that I was blessed with in my younger years. Nor do I have a fortune to spend on fancy trips.
Talking with other retired friends gave me some good ideas. I've started volunteering two mornings every week at the library a few blocks away. I can get lunch and join in on a current events group several times a month at the local senior center. I'm also planning to take a short vacation with some folks through Elderhostel."
