Talking about Healthy Eating: In the Diner
Mary: How many years have we been meeting here on Tuesday nights, Jane?
Jane: Oh, since I moved here from Pittsburgh and that's been 6 years or so now.
Mary: You know, I think I eat better when we have supper together. At home, I eat alone.
Jane: I know. It's hard to cook for one person. Maybe we should cook for each other sometimes.
Mary: We could ask Grace to join us. Then we'd have a regular supper club.
Jane: Yes! Cooking for each other would be healthier than eating out, too.
Mary: What do you mean?
Jane: I read somewhere that restaurant food can be full of salt and sugar. Probably not great for my diabetes.
Mary: You're right. Look at these french fries. And that apple pie I've been eyeing.
Jane: I'll call Grace. Thursday nights at my house from now on!
