Charlie's Story - The Perfect Place

"Marion and I always assumed we would stay in this house forever. Things change, though. Our kids are grown and we're retired now, and we're thinking of things differently. This house feels too big for us, and a break from keeping up with it would be a nice thing.

There are so many different housing options today. It was hard to know where to start. Marion and I talked with a lot of people at our church and at our senior center before we decided to move to a retirement community. There, we still have our own home, but we don't have to worry about home upkeep or shoveling snow. Gives me a lot more time for golf, too! We sold off our big old place, which was quite a load off my shoulders. I felt like as soon as I fixed one thing, something else broke. It was really starting to get me down."
