Staying on the Road, but Slowing Down

If you want to keep driving, but you're having trouble with night vision or the stress of sitting in rush hour traffic, here are some ways to stay on the road safely:

Plan Ahead

• Time your journeys so that you have plenty of time to get where you're going and home again before dark.
• If you live in an area with a lot of traffic, try to do your errands before or after rush hour.

Go Slow

• Avoid freeways if possible. Take the more scenic side roads.

Drive Wisely

• Avoid areas you don't know well.
• If you need to travel long distances, take breaks often. If possible, switch drivers every few hours.
